About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Operations Manager with extensive experience in the manufacturing sector to lead their production facilities remotely. This pivotal role demands strategic oversight of all manufacturing operations, ensuring peak performance, efficiency, and adherence to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for managing production schedules, optimizing resource allocation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives, all while maintaining effective communication and leadership across geographically dispersed teams and functions. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the manufacturing operations , including production planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Develop and implement strategic operational plans to achieve company goals for productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
- Lead and mentor production teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment through virtual engagement.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze operational data, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and output.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental policies, and quality standards across all manufacturing sites.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resource utilization to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated success in improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and increasing productivity.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to manage remote teams effectively.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
