Operations Manager – Waste Management / Recycling Facility An experienced Waste & Recycling Operations Manager is required to lead a production team at a fast-paced processing site. Salary: £50k–£60k + Pension Location: Stourbridge and surrounding areas Hours: Monday to Friday 7am -5pm

The Role

As Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running and performance of a busy waste management or recycling facility. Key responsibilities include: Overseeing the intake, processing, and dispatch of waste materials Ensuring all plant and equipment are properly maintained and operational Maintaining compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety, and Quality standards Managing, motivating, and developing a team of production staff Supporting commercial activities and contributing to the overall performance of the business

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: Proven experience managing a waste processing or recycling site. A background working with materials or environments such as biomass, wood waste, scrap metal, plastics, construction/demolition waste, composting, landfill, aggregates, anaerobic digestion, MRF/MBT operations, or other heavy industry A relevant qualification such as COTC/WAMITAB NEBOSH or IOSH certification would be desirable A full UK driving licence Suitable Backgrounds This role would suit candidates who have previously held positions such as: General Manager, MBT Shift Manager, Transfer Station Manager, Recycling Operations Manager, Waste Site Manager, MRF Manager, Skip Hire General Manager, Recycling Production Manager, Plant Manager
