About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Manager to lead their distribution and logistics operations in Belfast . This hybrid role involves overseeing day-to-day activities, ensuring efficiency, and driving continuous improvement within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) supply chain. You will manage a team, optimize processes, and ensure that all operational targets related to inventory management, warehousing, and dispatch are met consistently. This is a crucial role for maintaining the integrity and speed of our product delivery, requiring strong leadership and a commitment to operational excellence, contributing to a vital hub in Belfast .
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and direct all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
- Lead, train, and motivate the operations team to achieve performance targets and foster a positive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the operational facilities.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and procurement, to ensure smooth product flow and timely delivery.
- Monitor operational performance through KPIs and implement corrective actions to address any deviations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the FMCG or distribution sector.
- Proven experience in managing teams and driving performance improvements in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, WMS, and logistics best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
