About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee their operations in Wolverhampton . This role is central to ensuring the efficient and effective running of our business within the FMCG sector , focusing on production, logistics, and supply chain management. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, managing teams, and implementing strategies that enhance productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency. This is a key leadership opportunity to make a substantial impact on our operational performance, working within a hybrid model that supports both on-site leadership and strategic remote planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including production planning, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Manage and mentor operational teams, fostering a culture of high performance, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to the FMCG industry .
- Monitor key operational metrics, analyze performance data, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, procurement, and finance, to ensure seamless business operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in operations management, preferably within the FMCG sector .
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex operational environments and driving efficiency gains.
- Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain, logistics, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working in a hybrid capacity, demonstrating effective remote communication and management strategies.
