Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and results-driven Operations Manager to lead their manufacturing facility in Oxford . This senior role holds overall responsibility for the efficiency, productivity, and profitability of the manufacturing operations. You will oversee all aspects of production, quality, safety, and resource management, driving continuous improvement and ensuring the facility meets its strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a deep understanding of manufacturing best practices, and a proven ability to manage complex operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring targets for safety, quality, cost, and delivery are met.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
• Manage and motivate a diverse team of department heads and supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas, utilizing lean manufacturing principles.
• Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation for maximum effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Significant experience (7+ years) in operations management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large teams and complex operations.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated financial acumen and budget management experience.
