About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to lead their manufacturing facility in Southampton . This senior role is responsible for the overall efficiency, productivity, and profitability of the operations department. You will oversee all aspects of production, supply chain, logistics, and quality control, ensuring that targets are met and standards are exceeded. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership qualities, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in managing complex manufacturing operations, contributing to the company's growth and success from their Southampton base.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement operational strategies to align with company objectives and market demands.
Oversee the day-to-day management of production, ensuring efficient resource allocation and workflow optimization.
Manage budgets, control costs, and drive initiatives for continuous improvement in operational performance.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Significant experience in a senior Operations Management role within the manufacturing sector.
Demonstrated success in improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and driving productivity.
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems and operations management software.
