Our client is seeking a strategic and results-driven Operations Manager to lead their manufacturing and production facility in Sheffield . This senior role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, supply chain, quality, and safety, ensuring maximum efficiency and profitability. You will drive operational excellence, implement process improvements, and manage a diverse team to achieve ambitious company goals. This is a critical leadership position for an experienced professional committed to innovation and operational best practices within the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities

Direct and manage all aspects of daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production and adherence to schedules.
Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
Oversee the supply chain, logistics, and inventory management to ensure optimal resource utilization.
Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement data-driven decisions to achieve operational targets.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Significant experience (5+ years) in operations management, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and supply chain management.
Experience with production planning, quality control, and safety management systems.
