Operations Manager
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join a high-performing, defence-focused manufacturing environment. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will be responsible for driving operational excellence across complex, mission-critical programmes.
About the Role
You will be leading daily operations within an Integrated Product Team (IPT), ensuring the successful delivery of products against quality, cost, and schedule requirements . Acting as the bridge between engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, you will play a key role in translating strategy into execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational delivery, ensuring demand and supply are aligned across programmes
- Drive performance against key KPIs including on-time delivery, quality, and efficiency
- Manage and develop teams within a matrix structure, creating a high-performance culture
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles
- Own cost performance, resource planning, and capacity management
- Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain to ensure programme success
- Engage with stakeholders and customers to meet and exceed expectations
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in operations leadership within defence, aerospace, or a regulated manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of programme delivery and operational performance metrics
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
- Confident leadership style with the ability to influence across multiple functions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
