Operations Manager – Insurance Repairs
Location: Northampton Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 + Car/Car Allowance

We are recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager to join an established and expanding business within the insurance repairs sector. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality property repair works following insurance claims (residential, commercial, complex and high-net worth losses).
Operations Manager Role You will manage the full lifecycle of repair projects through your team, from instruction through to completion and final account, ensuring works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Acting as the central point of contact for clients, insurers, and contractors, you will drive operational performance, maintain strong stakeholder relationships, and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise daily operations, workflows, and the works planner
- Oversee multiple repair projects, ensuring SLA, budget, and quality targets are met
- Control WIP and ensure a consistent flow of work across teams
- Lead, motivate, and develop field teams, subcontractors, and office staff
- Act as the main contact for clients, insurers, and loss adjusters
- Handle escalations and ensure high levels of customer service
- Ensure compliance with H&S, building regulations, and insurance standards
- Manage subcontractor performance, supplier relationships, and procurement
- Produce regular KPI and performance reports
- Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency
About You
- Proven experience in an Operations Manager / Senior Contracts Manager role within insurance repairs or property reinstatement
- Strong knowledge of insurance claims processes and SLAs
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Confident managing multiple stakeholders including insurers and loss adjusters
- Strong leadership and team management capability
- Commercially aware with a focus on cost control and service delivery
- Full UK driving licence
