About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to lead and optimize their manufacturing operations in Stoke-on-Trent . This senior role is responsible for the overall efficiency, productivity, and quality of the production facility, ensuring that all operational targets are met and exceeded. You will manage a diverse team, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure adherence to the highest standards of safety and compliance within a key manufacturing hub in Staffordshire .
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors and operational staff to achieve departmental goals.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement data-driven strategies for performance enhancement.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as supply chain, sales, and R&D, to ensure seamless integration and effective operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in operations management within a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated experience in lean manufacturing principles and process optimization.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent financial acumen and experience managing operational budgets.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and other operational management software.
