About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of their manufacturing facility in Southampton . This senior role demands strong leadership, strategic planning, and exceptional organisational skills to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability. You will oversee all aspects of production, supply chain, and logistics, driving continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of excellence. This is a key position for someone passionate about operational efficiency and team leadership in the Hampshire region.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all operational functions, including production, inventory management, and logistics.
Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational performance and achieve business objectives.
Manage budgets, control costs, and optimise resource allocation.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in an Operations Manager or similar senior management role within manufacturing.
Strong understanding of supply chain management, lean manufacturing, and operational best practices.
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with budget management and financial oversight.
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid role, managing on-site and remote teams in Southampton .
