Operations Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Operations Process Engineer to join their team in Bristol . This role is essential for driving improvements in operational efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across their manufacturing and business processes. You will be responsible for analyzing existing systems, designing and implementing process enhancements, and ensuring that best practices are followed. This is a hands-on role perfect for an engineer eager to make a tangible difference in a well-established industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current operational processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for optimization using data analysis and Lean principles.
• Develop, document, and implement improved process designs, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
• Conduct root cause analysis for process-related issues and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
• Collaborate closely with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of process improvements.
• Manage and execute process improvement projects, from conception through to implementation and validation.
• Provide training and support to operational staff on new or revised processes and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in process engineering or operations analysis within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies (certification preferred), and continuous improvement techniques.
• Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis tools, and project management.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments.
