Operations Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client, a growing manufacturing firm specializing in engineered components, is looking for a proactive Operations Process Engineer to join their team in Derby, Derbyshire . This role is instrumental in driving improvements across production operations, focusing on enhancing efficiency, reducing cycle times, and ensuring product quality. You will analyze existing processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement data-driven solutions to optimize performance. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with production teams, quality assurance, and management to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current production processes to identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
• Design and implement process improvements utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
• Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot issues and implement effective corrective actions.
• Conduct time studies and workflow analysis to improve operational efficiency.
• Support the implementation of new equipment and technologies to enhance production capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a process engineering or operations engineering role.
• Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).
• Experience with process mapping and data analysis tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
