About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Operations Process Engineer to enhance operational performance at their facility in Birmingham . You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and refining processes that streamline manufacturing and logistics operations. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current operational processes to identify inefficiencies, quality issues, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Design and implement improved workflows, standard operating procedures, and best practices for manufacturing and supply chain activities.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles and tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping to optimize production.
- Collaborate with production staff, management, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless process integration and adoption.
- Develop and track performance metrics to monitor the effectiveness of implemented changes.
- Support the implementation of new equipment and technologies, ensuring smooth transition and optimal performance.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a closely related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering, operations improvement, or a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
- Familiarity with production scheduling and inventory management systems.
