Operations Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and dynamic Operations Supervisor to join their manufacturing facility in Cardiff . This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of production floor activities, ensuring that operational targets for efficiency, quality, and safety are consistently met. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities and a proven ability to motivate teams in a demanding production environment. This is a hands-on role that requires a significant presence on the factory floor to effectively manage resources and personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Monitor production output and quality, intervening to address any issues or deviations from standards.
• Implement and enforce all health and safety regulations on the production floor.
• Train new employees on operational procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods within the production area.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure equipment is well-maintained and operational.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Supervisor or Team Lead in a manufacturing or production setting.
• Strong understanding of production processes and operational management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a factory environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
