Operations Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and results-driven Operations Supervisor to oversee daily operations within their manufacturing facility in Portsmouth . This hands-on role involves leading a team of production staff, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations. You will be responsible for managing workflow, optimizing resource allocation, and fostering a productive and safe working environment. This position requires consistent on-site presence to effectively manage the team and production floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production staff to meet output targets.
• Ensure all operations are conducted in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor production processes, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and performance management for the team.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports, including output, downtime, and quality metrics.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and quality control, to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Familiarity with production planning and scheduling.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further technical qualifications are a plus.
