About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineer optical network solutions, including circuit design, path routing, and wavelength allocation.
• Configure, test, and deploy optical transport equipment, such as DWDM systems, ROADMs, and amplifiers.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot optical transmission issues, and implement solutions to maintain service quality.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including optical schematics, inventory, and configuration details.
• Collaborate with field operations and cross-functional teams to support network upgrades and maintenance activities.
• Research and evaluate new optical technologies and vendor solutions to improve network capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with optical network design and implementation.
• Proficiency with DWDM, OTN, SONET/SDH, and other optical transport technologies.
• Experience with optical test equipment (e.g., OTDR, optical power meters).
• Familiarity with optical network management systems and NMS platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
