Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist – Orthopaedics
Our client is seeking an experienced Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist to join their MSK & OT Inpatients Department at Northern Devon District Hospital. This role focuses on providing specialist occupational therapy interventions for patients within orthopaedics , supporting recovery and facilitating safe discharges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions for patients with musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions.
- Complete functional assessments and develop individualized rehabilitation plans.
- Support discharge planning and liaise with the multidisciplinary team.
- Promote independence and optimize patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.
Requirements:
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Proven experience in orthopaedics and MSK inpatient care .
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload.
