Pallet Network Driver (Class 1)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and responsible Pallet Network Driver (Class 1) to manage palletized freight movements from their hub in Liverpool . This role is critical for ensuring the efficient operation of their distribution network, involving both trunking and local collections/deliveries. You will be operating HGV Class 1 vehicles, ensuring the safe transport and handling of palletized goods. The ideal candidate is experienced, adheres strictly to safety standards, and possesses an in-depth understanding of pallet network logistics, contributing to the reliable service our client provides across the North West .

Key Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles for pallet collections and deliveries within the network.
• Ensure all palletized goods are handled, loaded, and secured safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to strict schedules for trunking runs and local delivery routes.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and digital tachograph logs.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding shipment status.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) UK driving license.
• Current Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
• Demonstrable experience as a Class 1 driver, ideally within pallet networks.
• Knowledge of warehouse and depot procedures for loading/unloading.
• Strong understanding of UK road network and driver regulations.
• Professional demeanor and commitment to safety standards in Liverpool .
