About the Role

Our client requires a skilled and professional Pallet Network HGV Class 1 Driver to join their expanding operations in Norwich . This role involves trunking and delivering palletized goods efficiently and safely across the UK network. You will be a key part of ensuring our client's commitment to reliable and timely freight services. We are seeking an experienced driver with a strong understanding of logistics and adherence to working hours, who can represent the company professionally on the road and contribute to their success within the Norfolk region and national distribution.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles for palletized freight transport, including trunking and local deliveries.
• Plan and execute routes effectively to meet strict delivery and collection schedules within the pallet network.
• Perform thorough pre-and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects immediately.
• Ensure all loads are correctly secured and documentation is accurately completed.
• Adhere strictly to legal driving hours (WTD) and company policies.
• Maintain communication with the transport office regarding progress and any issues encountered.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license .
• Current Driver CPC card and a valid digital tachograph card.
• Proven experience as a Class 1 driver, particularly within pallet network or trunking operations.
• Good knowledge of the UK road network and logistics infrastructure.
• Excellent driving record and commitment to road safety.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
