Pallet Network Operative

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent Pallet Network Operative to join their busy operations hub in Stoke-on-Trent . This hybrid role involves managing the inbound and outbound flow of palletized goods within the distribution centre, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. You will work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and the dispatch team to maintain smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of pallet handling processes, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, semi-remote environment. You will be crucial in ensuring the integrity and timely processing of freight within our established pallet network.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the efficient sorting and movement of palletized freight within the depot.
• Coordinate with inbound and outbound transport, ensuring timely loading and unloading.
• Utilize IT systems to track freight, manage manifests, and update shipment statuses.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse operatives, and network partners.
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed in the handling and storage of goods.
• Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to palletized shipments.

Requirements

• Experience working within a pallet network or logistics environment.
• Knowledge of freight handling, sorting, and dispatch procedures.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar tracking software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid operational setup, bridging office and on-site tasks.
• Familiarity with the Stoke-on-Trent area is beneficial.
