Job Overview

We require an expert clinician to support a Specialist Palliative Medicine consultant position. The post holder will have the ability to inspire and support a developing hospital Specialist Palliative Care (SPC) service and a community SPC Hospice Team. With the help and direction of the executive and clinical leaders the successful applicant will ensure that we continue to procide high quality care to patients and their families.

This is a substantive post (10 programmed activities) which is based at ULTH. The post holder will be employed by United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals Trust and line managed via St Barnabas Hospice. It is essential that the post holder has private residence within 30 minutes travelling time of St Barnabas Hospice IPU due to on call commitments.

The all embracing nature of specialist palliative care as a countywide service results in a complex and lengthy explanation of the interrelated services and providers that address the needs of the patients and commissioners.
