The Role
As an Experienced Panel Beater, you will be responsible for repairing accident-damaged vehicles to a high standard, using your technical expertise to restore vehicles safely and efficiently.
Working as part of an experienced bodyshop team, you'll undertake a variety of panel and structural repairs while ensuring every vehicle is completed to manufacturer and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out panel repairs, replacement and alignment on accident-damaged vehicles
- Undertake structural repairs and component replacement where required
- Complete welding, metal finishing and panel preparation to a high standard
- Assess vehicle damage and identify the most appropriate repair methods
- Communicate additional damage and repair requirements to VDA/Estimators or Workshop Controllers
- Work closely with MET and Paint Technicians to ensure efficient vehicle progression
- Follow manufacturer repair methods, bodyshop quality standards and Health & Safety procedures
- Complete repairs within agreed production times while maintaining exceptional workmanship
About You
We're looking for an experienced and quality-focused Panel Beater who takes pride in their craftsmanship and has the technical ability to consistently deliver high-quality accident repairs.
- Proven experience as a Panel Beater or Panel Technician within an automotive accident repair bodyshop
- Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair, panel replacement and alignment
- Experienced in structural repairs, welding and metal finishing
- Good understanding of modern vehicle construction and repair methods
- Ability to accurately assess damage and determine appropriate repair techniques
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Able to work efficiently within a busy production environment
- Reliable, professional and conscientious approach
- Strong team player with good communication skills
- IMI and/or ATA qualifications advantageous
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
