Part-Time Purchase Ledger Clerk

Drive Motor Retail is looking for a detail-oriented and organizedPurchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely payments, and supporting the smooth operation of the accounts department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Invoice Processing: Accurately process supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding and authorisation.
• Payment Management: Assist in the preparation of supplier payments, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Statement Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile supplier statements, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Query Resolution: Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve invoice or payment queries efficiently.
• Data Entry & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
• Supporting Month-End Processes: Assist with financial reporting and ledger reconciliation tasks as required.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical skills.
• Ability to work efficiently within deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
