Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Parts Manager on behalf of our client, a well-established family-run automotive dealership in Ipswich, Suffolk. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled individual to join an award-winning franchise that offers a supportive environment and clear pathways for long-term career progression.
As a Commercial Parts Manager, you will oversee the parts department, ensuring efficient operations and high levels of customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to inventory management and supplier relationships. The successful individual will have a background in motor trade parts management and possess the ability to develop and implement effective strategies to maximise profitability.

* Competitive basic salary of £45,000 per annum, with potential OTE of approximately £48,000

* Monday to Friday working hours, 8 am to 5 pm, with no weekend work

Duties of the Commercial Parts Manager:
* Manage and oversee the parts department to ensure high customer satisfaction levels
* Maintain optimal stock levels and order parts efficiently to meet workshop demands
* Develop strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues to facilitate smooth operations
* Assist with pricing strategy and promotional activities to boost parts sales
* Ensure accurate parts inventory control and manage stock rotations effectively
* Support the wider workshop and sales teams with expert parts advice
* Oversee and improve stock ordering, pricing, and inventory management processes
Requirements of the Commercial Parts Manager:
* Proven experience as a Parts Manager, Assistant Parts Manager, or Parts Advisor within the motor trade environment
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent organisational and communication abilities
* Good understanding of automotive parts inventory systems
* A proactive attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
