Job Description
About the role:
justteachers are recruiting for a full-time Pastoral Mentor to start in September at a specialist SEMH school in Grantham (NG31) supporting pupils aged 8-18.
The successful candidate will support pupils who require additional guidance and emotional support to access education successfully.
You will play a key role in helping students build resilience and achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pastoral interventions.
- Support emotional wellbeing.
- Promote attendance.
- Build strong relationships.
- Manage behaviour support strategies.
- Maintain records.
- Liaise with staff and families.
Pre-requisites:
- SEMH experience desirable.
- Strong communication skills.
- Patient and resilient approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to provide two professional references covering the last two years of employment, education or training.
