Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute a variety of pastry items , including desserts, breads, and viennoiseries, to the highest standards.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization within the pastry section of the kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the development of new dessert recipes and menu items, contributing creative ideas.
- Manage inventory for the pastry section, ensuring adequate stock levels of ingredients and minimizing waste.
- Collaborate effectively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow and consistent product quality.
- Uphold the restaurant's reputation for quality and innovation in all pastry creations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or a strong Demi Chef de Partie background in a similar establishment.
- Proficiency in a wide range of pastry techniques, including baking, chocolate work, sugar craft, and ice cream production.
- A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices within a commercial kitchen.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
