About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of high-quality pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts according to established recipes and standards.
• Develop new and innovative dessert concepts and menus in collaboration with the culinary team.
• Manage inventory of pastry ingredients, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the pastry section.
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all pastry items before they are served.
• Assist with general kitchen duties as required during busy periods.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or strong background as a Chef de Partie with pastry specialization.
• Skilled in a wide range of pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and sugar work.
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and delicious desserts.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety standards in a professional kitchen.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
