You will be responsible for crafting exquisite desserts, pastries, and baked goods for a variety of high-profile events and functions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, prepare, and present a wide range of high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, and confectionery for events.
- Develop innovative new dessert concepts and menus in line with current trends and client requests.
- Manage the pastry section of the kitchen, including ordering, inventory control, and maintaining stock levels.
- Ensure all pastry production meets the highest standards of quality, taste, and visual appeal.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations in the pastry kitchen.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and events team to ensure cohesive menu planning and execution.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience as a Pastry Chef or Senior Pastry Cook in a fine dining, hotel, or high-end catering environment.
- Expertise in classic and contemporary pastry techniques, including cake decorating and sugar work.
- Strong understanding of flavour profiles and ingredient pairings.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Relevant culinary qualifications are highly desirable.
