About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented Pastry Chef to join their dynamic culinary team in Milton Keynes . This hybrid role offers the best of both worlds, combining hands-on work in a professional kitchen with remote responsibilities for menu planning and development. You will be responsible for creating exquisite desserts, pastries, and baked goods, ensuring consistent quality and presentation. Key Responsibilities

• Design, prepare, and present a wide range of pastries , cakes, desserts, and bread.
• Develop new and exciting recipes, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
• Ensure all baked goods meet the highest standards of quality, taste, and visual appeal.
• Manage inventory for pastry ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning and special event preparations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe baking station , adhering to all hygiene standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar baking role.
• Skilled in various pastry techniques, including baking, decorating, and sugar work.
• Strong understanding of ingredient functions and their impact on baking outcomes.
• Ability to work effectively both in a kitchen environment and remotely for planning tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful, delicious desserts.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety principles.
