About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and efficient Payroll Accountant to manage their payroll processes. This is a fully remote role, allowing you to manage payroll from the comfort of your own home. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, managing statutory deductions, and maintaining up-to-date payroll records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll legislation and a keen eye for detail, ensuring compliance and employee satisfaction. This position offers a great opportunity to join a supportive team and contribute to the smooth running of the HR and finance functions from a remote location.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
- Calculate and process statutory deductions, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pensions.
- Manage employee expense claims and ensure timely reimbursement.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Respond to employee queries regarding payroll and benefits.
- Liaise with HMRC and pension providers as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Accountant or in a similar payroll processing role.
- Knowledge of UK payroll legislation and tax rules.
- Proficiency with payroll software and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting and meet strict deadlines.
