About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Payroll Administrator to manage their payroll processing from their office in Liverpool . This role is crucial for ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time, in full compliance with UK payroll legislation. You will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process, from data input to issuing payslips and resolving queries. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll systems and regulations, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, contributing to the efficient HR and finance operations within the Liverpool team.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly or monthly payroll for all employees accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with current HMRC regulations, including PAYE, National Insurance, and student loan deductions.
- Manage new starter and leaver processes, including P45s and P60s.
- Respond to and resolve employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Reconcile payroll data and prepare reports for finance and HR departments.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee payroll records.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role, managing end-to-end payroll processes.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., **ADP**, **PayMaster**, Sage Payroll) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment based in Liverpool .
