About the Role
Our client is looking for a diligent and accurate Payroll Administrator to join their HR and Finance team in Liverpool . This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies. You will handle queries from employees regarding their pay and work closely with HR to ensure all new starters and leavers are processed correctly. This is a crucial administrative role that requires a high level of attention to detail and discretion.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll accurately, ensuring all calculations are correct for deductions, tax, and National Insurance.
- Manage new employee starters and process employee leavers, ensuring all documentation is completed.
- Respond to employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Process statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, and SPP.
- Liaise with HMRC and other relevant bodies as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Payroll Administrator role or similar function.
- Knowledge of current payroll legislation and tax regulations.
- Familiarity with payroll software, such as Sage Payroll or similar systems.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in data processing.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
