About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Administrator to manage their payroll operations in Wolverhampton . This role is critical for ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time, in compliance with current legislation. You will be responsible for processing payroll data, calculating deductions, managing statutory payments, and resolving any payroll-related queries from staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll systems and employment law.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly or monthly payroll accurately and efficiently.
- Calculate and manage all statutory deductions, including tax and National Insurance.
- Administer employee benefits, such as pensions and private medical insurance.
- Handle payroll queries from employees, providing clear and timely responses.
- Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation and HMRC regulations.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and prepare relevant reports.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar payroll role.
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, Xero Payroll) and MS Excel.
- Good understanding of PAYE, NI, and other statutory deductions.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data processing.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
