About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Administrator to manage their payroll operations, offering a remote working arrangement. This role is crucial for ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee salaries, deductions, and statutory contributions. You will be responsible for maintaining payroll records, resolving payroll queries, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll accurately and efficiently for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pensions auto-enrolment.
- Manage employee data, including starters, leavers, and changes to terms and conditions.
- Respond to and resolve employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and relevant authorities.
- Liaise with external payroll providers or internal stakeholders as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Payroll Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including PAYE, NI, and statutory payments.
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, Xero Payroll) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
