About the Role
Our client in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire , requires a meticulous Payroll Administrator to manage their end-to-end payroll processes. This role is essential for ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time, in compliance with current legislation. You will be responsible for processing payroll, managing employee data, and responding to payroll-related queries. This is a key position within the HR and Finance functions of a well-established company in Stoke-on-Trent .
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and/or monthly payroll accurately and efficiently.
- Calculate and process statutory deductions, including PAYE, NI, and pensions.
- Manage employee data, including new starters, leavers, and changes to terms and conditions.
- Respond to employee queries regarding payroll, pay slips, and deductions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
- Liaise with third-party providers, such as pension administrators and HMRC.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar payroll role.
- Knowledge of current payroll legislation and processes (e.g., RTI, auto-enrolment).
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, ADP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
