About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and organised Payroll Administrator to join their finance and HR team, operating on a hybrid model, based in Bradford . This role is vital for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, managing statutory deductions, and maintaining confidential employee payroll data. You will work closely with the HR department to ensure all payroll changes are implemented correctly and that employees receive their pay accurately and on time. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to contribute to a smooth and efficient payroll process within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly or monthly payroll runs accurately and on time, ensuring all calculations are correct.
- Manage statutory deductions, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pensions.
- Process new starters, leavers, and changes to employee pay rates and terms.
- Respond to employee queries regarding their pay and deductions in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee payroll records.
- Assist with year-end payroll processes, including P60s and P11Ds.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar payroll role.
- Knowledge of current payroll legislation and best practices.
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, Pegasus) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly in Bradford .
