About the Role
Our client requires a meticulous and reliable Payroll Administrator to manage their payroll processes from their offices in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is fundamental to ensuring accurate and timely payment of all employees, managing statutory deductions, and maintaining up-to-date payroll records. You will be the point of contact for employee payroll queries and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation. This is a key administrative position within the HR and Finance functions, offering a hybrid working arrangement for enhanced work-life balance in Staffordshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly or monthly payroll accurately and efficiently for all employees.
- Calculate and manage statutory deductions, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pensions.
- Administer employee benefits, such as company car schemes and cycle-to-work programmes.
- Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation and company policies.
- Respond to and resolve employee payroll queries in a confidential and timely manner.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar payroll processing role.
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, Star Payroll) and MS Excel.
- Good understanding of UK payroll legislation, tax codes, and NI contributions.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
