About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and organised Payroll Administrator to manage their payroll processing in Plymouth . This role is essential for ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time, adhering to all statutory requirements and company policies. You will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process, from data input to issuing pay slips and handling queries. This is a critical administrative role supporting the employees of the organisation in Devon .
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly or monthly payroll accurately and efficiently.
- Enter new starters, leavers, and changes to employee data into the payroll system.
- Calculate and process statutory deductions, including PAYE, NI, and pensions.
- Respond to employee payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation and company policies.
- Assist with year-end payroll procedures, including P60s and P11Ds.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a payroll administration role.
- Familiarity with UK payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, Xero Payroll, Star).
- Knowledge of current payroll legislation, tax codes, and NI contributions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
