Payroll Officer
Location: County Monaghan
Job Type: 12 month FTC, maternity cover - ASAP start!
£35000 - £40000 DOE
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a successful and established manufacturing/warehousing business, who are looking to appoint a Payroll Officer to join their team on a 12 month maternity contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR Administrator, HR Assistant, Payroll Administrator or HR & Payroll Officer with around 1–2 years’ experience who is looking to develop their career within a busy operational environment.
The Role
Working closely with management and employees, you will provide day-to-day HR administration and payroll support, helping to ensure accurate employee records, payroll processing and HR processes are maintained.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the monthly payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payroll information
* Maintaining accurate employee records and HR databases
* Processing starters, leavers, holidays, sickness and other employee changes
* Assisting with HR administration, contracts, letters and employee documentation
* Supporting absence, holiday and attendance administration
* Responding to employee queries relating to HR and payroll
* Assisting with recruitment administration and onboarding
* Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with relevant HR legislation and company policies
* Providing general administrative support to the HR function
About You
We are looking for someone with 1–2 years’ experience in HR administration and payroll, ideally gained within a manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, FMCG or other fast-paced operational environment.
You will ideally have:
* Previous experience in HR Administration and Payroll
* Good understanding of payroll processes and employee records
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good IT and Microsoft Office skills
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* The ability to work confidentially and professionally
* A proactive approach and willingness to learn and develop
