About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and efficient Payroll Administrator to manage their payroll processing in Wolverhampton . This role is critical for ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time, adhering to all relevant legislation and company policies. You will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process, from data input to final reconciliation, and will act as a key point of contact for employee payroll queries. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to take ownership of payroll within a supportive organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly or monthly payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with PAYE, NI, and statutory deductions.
- Manage new starter and leaver processes, including setting up employees on the payroll system and calculating final pay.
- Respond to employee queries regarding pay, deductions, and entitlements in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform payroll reconciliations and prepare relevant reports for management.
- Liaise with HMRC and pension providers as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in payroll administration, ideally with UK payroll systems.
- Knowledge of current payroll legislation, including PAYE, NI, and statutory sick pay.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
