About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organised and accurate Payroll Administrator to join their HR and Finance department in Wolverhampton . This role is critical for ensuring that all employees are paid correctly and on time, in strict accordance with HMRC regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of payroll legislation, and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion. You will be the main point of contact for payroll queries.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll accurately, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Manage new starter and leaver processes, including P45s and P60s.
- Administer employee benefits such as pensions, cycle to work schemes, and childcare vouchers.
- Handle payroll queries from employees and external agencies professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and timely submission of payroll-related reports.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation and tax laws.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar payroll processing role.
- Knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance , and other payroll-related legislation.
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, Star Payroll) and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines in Wolverhampton .
