About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and reliable Payroll Administrator to manage their payroll processes for employees based in Wolverhampton . This role is critical for ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, deductions, and taxes, while maintaining compliance with all relevant employment and tax legislation. You will work within the finance and HR departments, handling sensitive employee data with confidentiality and precision. Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly or monthly payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring all calculations are correct.
- Manage new starter and leaver payroll administration, including calculations and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with current tax, National Insurance, and statutory payment regulations.
- Process and administer employee benefits, including pensions and other deductions.
- Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and external bodies (e.g., HMRC).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records and produce relevant reports.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a payroll administration role, processing payroll for a medium to large organization.
- Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation, HMRC requirements, and PAYE regulations.
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, Xero Payroll) and MS Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines effectively.
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
