About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and reliable Payroll Administrator to manage their payroll processes remotely, supporting employees across the UK. This role is essential for ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, wages, and statutory deductions for all staff. You will be responsible for maintaining payroll records, processing new starters and leavers, and handling employee queries related to pay. Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly or monthly payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Manage new starter and leaver processes, including P45s and P60s.
- Administer statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, and SPP.
- Reconcile payroll data and prepare reports for management and finance.
- Respond to employee queries regarding pay, deductions, and holiday pay.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure data confidentiality.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar payroll role.
- In-depth knowledge of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, and National Insurance.
- Experience using payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, Xero Payroll, or specific bureau systems).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
