About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll Administrator to join their finance department, operating on a hybrid basis from their Liverpool office. This vital role ensures that all employees are paid accurately and on time, adhering to current legislation and company policies. You will manage the entire payroll process from start to finish, including calculations, processing, and reporting, while also acting as a key point of contact for employee payroll queries. Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly or monthly payroll for all employees accurately and efficiently.
- Calculate statutory deductions, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pensions.
- Manage joiners and leavers, ensuring all necessary documentation is processed correctly.
- Respond to employee queries regarding payroll, tax, and benefits in a confidential and professional manner.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to HMRC and relevant third parties.
- Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation and company policies.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role is essential.
- Thorough understanding of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, and National Insurance.
- Experience with payroll software and HR information systems (HRIS).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage workload effectively in a hybrid work environment.
