About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join their HR and Finance team, supporting their employees across the UK. This critical role ensures the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll, managing all related queries and statutory compliance. You will be responsible for maintaining payroll records, calculating deductions, and liaising with HMRC. This position offers the flexibility of remote working, making it ideal for an organised individual who can manage their workload effectively and contribute to a smooth payroll function from their home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll accurately and efficiently for all employees.
- Calculate and manage statutory deductions, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pensions.
- Respond to employee queries regarding pay, deductions, and tax codes in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation and company policies.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and prepare relevant reports.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Payroll Administrator role, with a strong understanding of payroll processes.
- Familiarity with payroll software and HR information systems.
- Knowledge of current UK employment and tax legislation relating to payroll.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills to meet payroll deadlines.
