DK Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a well-established professional services business in Newton Abbot to recruit an experienced Payroll Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and growing payroll function where you will take ownership of a varied client portfolio, delivering a high-quality payroll bureau service to businesses across a range of sectors.
The successful candidate will be an experienced payroll professional with previous payroll bureau or multi-client payroll experience, who enjoys building strong client relationships while ensuring payrolls are processed accurately and on time.
The Role:
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of client payrolls from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, compliance and excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing end-to-end payrolls for a varied portfolio of clients.
- Managing weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls.
- Processing starters, leavers, statutory payments and payroll amendments.
- Completing FPS, EPS and RTI submissions to HMRC.
- Administering workplace pensions, auto-enrolment and pension submissions.
- Producing year-end payroll documentation, including P60s and P11Ds where required.
- Resolving client payroll queries professionally and efficiently.
- Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and ensuring ongoing compliance.
- Building strong relationships with clients and providing an excellent payroll bureau service.
- Supporting continuous improvements to payroll processes and systems.
About You:
To be successful, you will have:
- Previous experience working within a payroll bureau or processing multiple client payrolls.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, HMRC requirements and statutory payments.
- Experience with workplace pensions and auto-enrolment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple payroll deadlines.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills.
- Experience using payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
- CIPP qualification or equivalent payroll experience would be advantageous.
