About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and experienced Payroll Specialist to manage their payroll operations from their Bradford office, with a hybrid working arrangement. You will be responsible for ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time, managing payroll queries, and maintaining compliance with statutory regulations. This role is essential for supporting the company's workforce and requires a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. You will work closely with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless payroll processing. Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly or monthly payroll accurately and efficiently for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with current PAYE, National Insurance, and other statutory deductions.
- Manage employee payroll queries and provide timely resolutions.
- Process new starters, leavers, and changes to employee terms and conditions.
- Reconcile payroll data and prepare reports for HR and Finance.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll role.
- In-depth knowledge of UK payroll legislation, tax, and NI contributions.
- Experience using payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, Xero Payroll, Star).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
