Hours: Monday – Friday, 45-hour week

My client is a well-established provider within the Powered Access industry, supplying and maintaining a wide range of access equipment nationwide. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced PDI Engineer to join our busy workshop team.
The Role:
As a PDI Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is fully inspected, tested, and prepared to the highest standard before being released for hire.
Key responsibilities include:
Carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on powered access machinery
Inspecting, testing, and preparing equipment to ensure full compliance and safety standards
Identifying defects and completing necessary repairs or reporting issues
Completing documentation accurately and in line with company procedures
Ensuring machines are clean, safe, and ready for immediate use
Supporting workshop engineers where requiredWhat We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a PDI, workshop, or mechanical engineering role (powered access, plant or material handling)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good mechanical and hydraulic understanding
Ability to work well as part of a team
NVQ or equivalent qualification in a mechanical discipline (desirable)
