About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and ethical Penetration Tester to join their dedicated cybersecurity team. Operating remotely, you will be responsible for proactively identifying vulnerabilities in our client's systems, applications, and networks through simulated attacks. Your findings will be crucial in strengthening our security posture and protecting against real-world threats. This role requires a curious and analytical mind, a passion for uncovering weaknesses, and the ability to communicate complex technical details clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document comprehensive penetration tests on web applications, APIs, networks, and cloud environments.
• Utilise a variety of penetration testing tools and techniques to simulate adversarial attacks.
• Identify, analyse, and report security vulnerabilities, including their potential impact and recommended remediation steps.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to help them understand and fix identified vulnerabilities.
• Stay current with the latest exploitation techniques, threat actors, and security trends.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of testing methodologies and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2-4 years of professional experience in penetration testing or ethical hacking.
• Proficiency with common penetration testing tools (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap).
• Strong understanding of common web vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and network security concepts.
• Excellent report writing skills, with the ability to clearly articulate findings and recommendations.
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or GPEN are highly desirable.
